Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) opens a PhD position for WOODY, a new project that will study the use of woody vegetation in Nature-Based Flood Defences to enhance flood safety. This interdisciplinary project, funded by the Dutch organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), aims to determine if the nature-quality goals are compatible with flood-defence goals.
The PhD candidate will work on the quantification of the wave damping capacities of WOODY vegetation.
