The RECONECT Research Team, led by project coordinator Zoran Vojinovic, has published a new article for the journal “Sustainability”. Due to climate change and massive urbanisation, many cities will face increasing numbers of floods and heat waves in the near future. The paper presents a framework to maximize the effectiveness of Nature-Based Solutions to reduce flood risk and improve thermal comfort, assessing various hazards with the use of models and field measurements in a very densely populated study area (Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand).
