Alberto Girani, director of the Portofino Park (Demonstrator A) and Professor at the University of Genoa (Italy), dedicated a lesson to RECONECT and Nature-Based Solutions in his academic course on Sustainability Education. This class is intended for students of the Department of Educational Science, a faculty that focuses on education and learning (it prepares students to teach in primary school) also dealing with topics relevant to RECONECT, as sustainable tourism and enhancement of the territory.
The lesson was therefore planned to meet the sustainable development goals of the Agenda 2030, in particular the target 13.3 “Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning”, as tomorrow’s teachers will impact on the education of future children.
This was one of the first project actions in training: other activities are planned, as some resources are allocated for education under the Communication and Dissemination tasks.
