Our partner Amphi International ApS has started the environmental monitoring in the already implemented NBS of the Aarhus pilot site (Demonstrator B).
The observation aims to evaluate the presence/absence of a protected species, the Great Crested Newt, this considered as representative of good habitat quality. The monitoring compares the results of two methods to assess the Crested Newt population size: traditional catching and environmental DNA.
